ADVENTURE. Last night was definitely-- ONE NIGHT TO REMEMBER =) Robert and I were feeling down, so we decided to plan a CHILLAX NIGHT. We were at the U of M. We grabbed a late lunch with some Lovely Beings in Coffman. There, we conversed of our Love Lives. =) Afterwards, Robert and I came back to Appleby Hall. Unfortunately-- we had no change for the parking lot fee, which was $3.50. I rummaged through my purse and managed to collect $2.10. Short! OH NO! =P Robert suggested that we go stand by the bridge and DANCE for some change. Haha. Though-- we pondered deeply, and finally came to a conclusion that it was way too cold to present such an act upon our peers. So, Robert and I went into the lounge in search of money. We got down on our hands and knees, and peered under the vending machines. Nothin'. Notta. Zip. Zero. STUMPED-- we were! Think. Think. Think. "Hey!" Robert shouted. "I could sell my book back to the bookstore & get money!" We raved at this wonderful idea. We followed each other into Coffman, sold back Robert's book, and then recieved $45.00 back! HOORAY HOORAY! Afterwards, we took the shuttle bus to the parking lot and finally escaped from the treacherous UofMN Prison. =) (kidding). Robert and I DROVE DROVE DROVE. We talked about our past, as well as our hopes and dreams. We talked about the ones we used to love-- and the ones we still love now. Traffic was unfriendly. =P Suddenly, Robert and I decided that we should have a MOVIE NIGHT at my place in Little Canada. We called Shirley, Jimmy, King, and Tria to join us. Robert and I stopped by at Hollywood Video and rented THE NOTEBOOK. Ooo Lala. And then we went to Cub Foods. On our way in-- we saw this guy from the NEWS CHANNEL!!! I forgot his name, but he was standing outside with another guy who was holding a big video taping camera thingy majiggy! It was so cool! Robert said: "It's so cool to see those news people, because that's the closest you'll ever get to a celebrity!" Hahaha. Well, we went craaazy with Junk Food GALORE! Twinkies. Chips. Candy Bars. Star Crunch. YOU NAME IT! =D After our "grocery shopping" was finished, it was time to pick up the two Beauty Queens-- Shirley & Jimmy! I had absolutely no sense of direction, so I was USELESS. We called Shirley & Jimmy, but their directions were not so clear. Then we called my brother King, and his directions were... um... let's just say Robert was STRESSING OUT because no one knew the precise directions to reach the destination! SORRY ROBERT! So... Robert and I started off. Again we DROVE DROVE DROVE. Then we DROVE some more. Finally, with a little more DRIVING-- we reached Shirley & Jimmy's place. =) YAYE!!! Back to PANGUIN'S place in the NORTHPOLE-- it was! =D More driving. FINALLY!!! Home at last! We ordered pizza and stuffed our faces until Tria arrived. That night was the first time I had ever had "stuffed crust pizza!" I was so excited to take my first bite! =) When Tria finally arrived, King, Robert, Jimmy, Shirley and I all gathered in the basement. We laid out blankets and pillows and scattered the junk food. Everyone got situated & comfortable-- kind of? We played the movie. Within the first 30 mintues or so into the movie-- I was already crying my eyeballs out! =( MEMORIES! OH SWEET MEMORIES! I am certain a few of the dorks were hurting and relating as well. I did not really clarify this to anyone but Robert-- but the end of the movie was so incredibly sad & sweet... I nearly cried, but I didn't want to cry. I was TIRED of crying! So-- I cracked up. I know that sounds terrible, but I did. =( Though inside, my heart ached horribly. I was crushed. Not exactly at the movie-- but crushed because I was reflecting on my own personal life. I LAUGHED IT OFF. This caused EVERYONE ELSE to LAUGH also. So-- we all LAUGHED & LAUGHED & LAUGHED until our tummies and our cheeks ached, and our tears streamed down our goofy faces. I am not sure whether this was the happiest moment of the night... or the saddest. I personally feel that it was the most heart-breaking part-- to deny such pain with laughter. Though I must admit, it helped distance the tears. After the movie, everyone sat in a circle and we talked about our past. It was painful & difficult. Robert expressed himself. Tria expressed himself. Though when Shirley asked me about my story-- I just made stupid jokes & continued to laugh. I miss being happy. The night coiled down. The Lovely Beings left Panguin's home, and returned to their families. 'Twas a night of Companionship. Shall it never be forgotten. =) Sometimes... you just have to smile. THE END Actually, it is only the beginning |
